Medical Assistant - Non-Clinical - FPA/PCA
Job Summary: The Medical Assistant performs common revenue cycle practices within the office environment while assisting physician with the patient throughout care tasks. The performance of basic tasks, will occur in a timely manner with minimum guidance and supervision. The Medical Assistant- Non Clinical maintains customers rights (confidentiality, privacy, safety, security, and decision making), while adapting easily to changes in work assignment and environment. This position must be willing to assume additional responsibilities and duties.
Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent, Additional college or Vocational Training preferred
Experience Required: Medical Office experience preferred not required
Licensing, Certifications and/or Registrations: BLS, CMA or CNA
Skills/Abilities Required: The Medical Assistant-Non Clinical must demonstrate the ability to multi-task, while utilizing time-management and problem-solving skills. The position requires familiarity and an ability to become proficient in the use of Electronic Health Record systems, including (but not limited to) multiple scheduling systems and patient record databases, while utilizing excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills commonly used in the medical terminology arenas. The MA-Non Clinical MUST demonstrate customer, team and interdepartmental skills.

Works in a well-lighted, ventilated & air conditioned area
Often exposed to unpleasant odors, sights & sounds
Long periods of standing, walking, stooping, heavy lifting & bending are required

Must be able to lift 25 lbs. independently
Exposure to high degree of interruptions & stressful situations
