LPN - Non Bedside - Adair County Clinic
Job Summary:
Licensed Practical Nurse or RN; Non-Bedside Clinic under the direction of the Director of Clinic Operations and/or the Office Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides individualized nursing care to patients in accordance with established nursing procedures and organizational philosophies.
The essential function of this position will be to facilitate patient care and patient satisfaction by handling patient calls and messages for all providers, by timely responding to patient's needs.
This includes but not limited to the following:
Telephone triage of condition and screen calls
Follow up phone calls as directed by providers,
Interact with patients via phone and in person that have questions.
Assist with Patient/Family education of disease processes
Obtain critical labs values and abnormal dx studies and direct appropriately to provider,
Assist with community education program to promote positive image of clinic,
Float to backup Providers nurses as needed,
Assist with pre-authorizations, scheduling and discharges as needed.
Education: Graduate of accredited LPN or RN program
License: Kentucky Licensed Practical Nurse License; or active compact state-issued license
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA (completed within orientation period)
Experience: Prior Physician Practice Experience, Clinical rotation, and graduate of accredited LPN
