Student Radiology Tech - Radiology

Duties:
Assist licensed radiology technologists in performing diagnostic imaging procedures including X-ray, CT scans, and mammography.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
Operate radiologic imaging equipment with precision while adhering to radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation safety protocols.
Support emergency room and urgent care imaging needs by quickly setting up and executing diagnostic evaluations in high-pressure situations.
Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment settings in compliance with hospital policies.
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program or related healthcare training with foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical imaging principles.
Demonstrated interest or experience in emergency medicine, level I or level II trauma centers preferred.
Basic understanding of radiation safety procedures and medical equipment operation
Strong communication skills to effectively explain procedures to patients and collaborate with healthcare team members.
Ability to work efficiently under supervision while demonstrating a proactive attitude toward learning new skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to radiology and diagnostic evaluation processes is highly desirable.
Commitment to patient care excellence with attention to detail in all aspects of imaging procedures.
