Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) - Sleep Lab
Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to join our dynamic sleep medicine team. In this role, you'll conduct diagnostic sleep studies. You will also support patients throughout their evaluation process. This is a hands-on position requiring technical expertise, attention to detail, and a patient-focused approach.
Qualifications
-Active RPSGT certification (Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists - BRPT)
-Proficiency with sleep study equipment and software
-Strong knowledge of accurate stage scoring and event recognition
-Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
-Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
-BLS Certification (completed within orientation period)
Working Conditions, Hazards
and Physical Effort:
• Works in a well lit, ventilated & air conditioned area
• Often exposed to unpleasant odors, sights & sounds
• Long periods of standing, walking, stooping, heavy lifting & bending are required
• Risks exposure to disease, infection, physical strain & assault
• Risks exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, radiation & antineoplastic agents
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently
