RN - ER (PRN) - Emergency Room
Job Summary: A professional care giver under the direction of the DON and the department Supervisor, utilizes the nursing process, nursing standards and physician's orders, plans, provides and directs care and teaching of patients and families.
Education Required: Graduate of an accredited RN Program.
Experience Required: ER experience required, TNCC preferred.
Licensing, Certifications and/or Registrations: Current RN license in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Basic Life Support Certification (completed within orientation period), ACLS (completed within orientation period)
Working Conditions, Hazards
and Physical Effort:
• Works in a well lit, ventilated & air conditioned area
• Often exposed to unpleasant odors, sights & sounds
• Long periods of standing, walking, stooping, heavy lifting & bending are required
• Risks exposure to disease, infection, physical strain & assault
• Risks exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, radiation & antineoplastic agents
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently
