Food Service Supervisor - Dietary
Job Summary: Under general direction, of the Director and/or Dietician, this position will supervise the activities of staff members who are engaged in serving meals to residents and patients according to written cyclic menus. Responsible for daily scheduling and training of employees. Oversees “clean up” activities to ensure that proper sanitation techniques are observed. Checks diet trays for accuracy before sending to areas. Other duties may be assigned. Exhibits the values of FIRST (Friendliness, Integrity, Respect, Service and Trust).
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associates with 2 years - experience
Experience Required: Past institutional food service experience desired, preferably 6 months
Licensing, Certifications and/or Registrations:
Prefer ServSafe certification
Equipment/Special Skills:
• Experience with all/any institutional equipment necessary
• Specific training of equipment provided
• Equipment includes: meat slicer, blender, can opener, cheese grater, grill, oven, steamer and dishwasher
