ER Tech - Emergency Room

Job Summary: Assists with direct patient care under the direction of licensed staff and within the scope of defined practice. Serves as a liaison between other departments ensuring communication and accurate records are available.
Education Required: High school graduate or equivalent
Experience Required: Previous ER experience preferred
Working Conditions, Hazards
and Physical Effort:
• Works in a well lit, ventilated & air conditioned area
• Often exposed to unpleasant odors, sights & sounds
• Long periods of standing, walking, stooping, heavy lifting & bending are required
• Risks exposure to disease, infection, physical strain & assault
• Risks exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, radiation & antineoplastic agents
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently
