Acupuncturist - GlowPharm MedSpa and Wellness Clinic
About Us
GlowPharm MedSpa and Wellness Clinic at Russell County Hospital is an upcoming destination for wellness, beauty, and rejuvenation, anticipated to open in early fall 2026. As an extension of the hospital, we will combine medical expertise with spa-level care to offer a comprehensive approach to overall wellness. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Acupuncturist to join our team and help shape an exceptional experience for our future patients and guests.

Position Summary
The Acupuncturist will provide therapeutic acupuncture treatments to support patient wellness, relaxation, and symptom relief. This role is ideal for a practitioner who is passionate about integrative health, enjoys building client relationships, and thrives in a collaborative medical-spa setting.

Key Responsibilities
•Perform acupuncture treatments tailored to each client’s needs and health goals.
•Conduct thorough consultations and assessments, including patient history and treatment planning.
•Educate patients on acupuncture benefits, expected outcomes, and aftercare.
•Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital standards.
•Collaborate with medical and spa staff to provide integrative, coordinated care.
•Ensure all treatment areas and equipment are clean, safe, and compliant with infection control policies.
•Stay current on acupuncture research, trends, and continuing education.
•Promote spa services and contribute to a positive, welcoming environment.

Qualifications
•Current Kentucky Acupuncture License (or eligibility to obtain).
•Certification by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) preferred.
•Prior clinical experience in acupuncture required; experience in wellness, integrative medicine, or spa setting preferred.
•Strong interpersonal skills with ability to educate and comfort patients.
•Professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while performing treatments.
• Frequent use of hands and fine motor skills to insert and manipulate acupuncture needles with precision.
• Ability to bend, reach, and assist patients with positioning as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and support patient mobility when necessary.
Mental & Cognitive Requirements:
• Ability to assess patient conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and adjust care as needed.
• Strong knowledge of acupuncture techniques, meridian theory, and holistic wellness practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and focus to ensure safe and effective needle placement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to educate patients and build trust.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality.
