We have a combined 100+ years of service in the RCH HIM Dept and an additional 45+ years experience in other departments within RCH and at other health care facilities.

We maintain charts on all patients registered at our facility. We process requests for patients' information from the patient, other health care facilities, physician offices, insurance companies and law firms. We assign both diagnostic and procedure codes to patient accounts as part of the revenue cycle. We provide local contract transcription service for both medical and imaging studies.

Our department tabulates monthly census information for inpatient and swing bed patient populations. We participate in several performance improvement processes and serve on various committees within the facility. We work in conjunction with the Case Management Department each year at the annual health fair to provide information to the public regarding Advance Directives and Living Wills.
