Acutely ill come to the Emergency Room." | COVID-19 Rules effective on August 2, 2021 . Masks are now required AGAIN for everyone entering the hospital, vaccinated or not vaccinated. This includes Hospital Employees, Patients, and Visitors. Russell County Hospital is looking out for the safety and welfare of Employees as well as Patients and the Community. Also, the Russell County Hospital Health Fair and Lab Draws have been cancelled.

 

Wound Care Center

If you or someone you know has a wound/sore that has failed to improve, we offer services to promote a quicker healing process at our Wound Care Center.

These include:

Specialty dressings that maintain a moist healing environment
Compression dressings
Debridement
Skin grafting
Vacuum-assisted closure when appropriate
Coordination of care

Your healthcare provider may refer you for services at the Wound Care Center, or you may seek treatment on your own. Wound care services are covered by Medicare and Medicaid, and most private insurance companies provide some degree of coverage.

The Wound Care Center is located at our Medical Arts Building and provides services on an outpatient basis each Monday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
