Acutely ill come to the Emergency Room." | COVID-19 Rules effective on August 2, 2021 . Masks are now required AGAIN for everyone entering the hospital, vaccinated or not vaccinated. This includes Hospital Employees, Patients, and Visitors. Russell County Hospital is looking out for the safety and welfare of Employees as well as Patients and the Community. Also, the Russell County Hospital Health Fair and Lab Draws have been cancelled.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteers play an important role in helping Russell County Hospital provide quality health care to the communities we serve. Many opportunities are available for our volunteers to make a difference in someone's life, and the rewards of volunteering are just as numerous.

You may volunteer during daytime, evening or weekend hours. Before you volunteer, you will receive individualized training and education. Russell County Hospital Auxiliary

Our Auxiliary has served Russell County Hospital since 1981. We have over 40 members, and always welcome new members.

The Auxiliary provides many important services that enhance the care provided to patients, their family members and visitors. These services include:

Gift Shop - available in the front lobby, featuring a variety of gift items.

Pillow Talk - Sew and stuff pillows for surgery patients.

Reception Desk - Greet visitors, answer and direct telephone calls.
