Frequently Asked Questions:


1. How long does it take for my information to be released to the patient portal?

Lab results are viewable as soon as they are completed. Reports and other documents are available after the provider signs the report. Reports and documents read by offsite specialty groups may not be viewable in the portal.

2. Where do I find Lab Results?

Lab results are all under the Results Tab. Most results show up in this location, there are some lab results that are processed outside of Russell County Hospital. If the result does not show up in the portal, please contact the Medical records department to arrange for a copy to be picked up.

3. Where do I find my Radiology Reports?

Radiology Reports are found under the Reports tab. Other Reports in this tab are Primary Care or Surgical Assoc Progress Notes, ER Visit Notes and Inpatient Visit Notes.

4. What is the oldest date of service that I can view on the Patient Portal?

Results tab data will date back to 2004 and documents under the Reports tab are purged after 36 months.

5. Can my children have an account on the Patient Portal?

Yes, if you are the legal guardian, you may have access to your child's patient portal. Any child under 18 needs a Proxy form filled out with Russell County Hospital Medical Records Department, along with proof of guardianship. If your child is 12 or older, they must be present to verify their approval of the proxy.

Please allow 5-10 working days for all Proxy requests to be completed.

6. Who can access my information on the patient portal?

You control the access to your information. If you would like your spouse, next of kin, etc. to have access to your medical records then you will need to come to the Medical Records department, with a photo ID, at the Russell County Hospital to fill out a Proxy Request Form.

7. Can I use the same email address for other members of my household?

Yes. However, if you use the same email address, other members could possibly have access to your portal account.

8. What do I do if there is a discrepancy in my personal information?

To update personal information, you can edit your profile (this is checked and updated on the 8th of each month).

9. What if there is a discrepancy in my medical record?
