Emergency Medicine

Emergency Medicine physicians are trained to provide comprehensive medical diagnosis and treatment to patients in medical emergency situations. After completing medical school, physicians trained in emergency medicine receive additional training in various specialties to enable them to assess and diagnose a variety of medical conditions. Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training may also be required.
