Environmental Services Manager - Environmental Services
Job Summary: Performs a wide range of housekeeping & projects including the cleaning of restrooms, waiting area,
office & clinical areas. Operation of equipment such as vacuum cleaners, upholstery shampoos & others are required. Directs and assigns the work to be completed by the Environmental Services Technicians. Completes probationary and annual evaluations on employees’ work performance. Counsel and mentor personnel on job performance. Responsible for training as needed on cleaning procedures and techniques. Assumes responsibility for scheduling staff, maintaining staffing levels, covering vacant shifts and supervising department personnel. Takes inventory of supplies/linens and ensures necessary items are ordered. Responsible for SDS/PPE training and compliance. Also, other housekeeping duties may be required. Education Required: High school graduate, GED, or equivalent
Experience Required: Healthcare housekeeping experience required. Healthcare supervisory experience preferred.
Licensing, Certifications: AHA certification required within
and/or Registrations: within two years.
Equipment/Special Skills: Must be knowledgeable of all chemicals & equipment utilized in the department. Computer and spreadsheet skills required.

and Physical Effort:
• The task of this job may involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs. occasionally & up to 25 lbs. regularly
• Requires continuous walking, stooping & standing, lifting, bending with moderate to heavy physical exertion
