Radiology


Physicians who specialize in radiology are trained to interpret results of diagnostic imaging examinations and report findings to the patient's attending physician. The specialty requires four years of postgraduate training in addition to an M.D. degree. Radiography (X-rays), xerography, ultrasound, coaxial tomography (CT scans) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are used to diagnose and treat disease conditions.
